Mehendi (evening)

Mehendi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehendi ceremony to be held a night or two before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage.

Haldi (noon)

The application of Haldi (turmeric paste) is thought to remove negative energies and prepare the bride and groom for their new life together. It signifies the transition from the old to the new, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Blessings and Prosperity: Turmeric is associated with prosperity, fertility, and good health.

Hi-tea

After the haldi ritual, while the bride (and groom) still glows from the golden hues of turmeric, the atmosphere softens and transforms. Laughter subsides, hands are washed, and gradually, the aroma of warm dishes and delicate spices fills the air. It’s time for brunch ! Guests gather around tables adorned with fresh flowers and sunny colors, reminiscent of the haldi’s hues. They share generous dishes, refreshing drinks, and above all, moments of connection still imbued with the morning’s emotions.

Dinner and Sangeet (bollywood theme)

The sangeet is the night when everything ignites: colors, voices, hearts. From the moment you enter, the music vibrates like a call to the party. Families from both sides gather beneath a sparkling backdrop, ready to celebrate love with song and dance. On stage, cousins rehearse their final steps, aunts perfect their secret choreography, and friends prepare their funny or touching surprises. Lights swirl, bracelets jingle, and smiles become contagious. Little by little, everyone joins the dance floor, transforming the venue into a whirlwind of pure joy. The sangeet is not just a party: it’s the soul of the wedding, a moment when families come together, when they dance without restraint, when they sing of love before it is sealed. A luminous, vibrant, unforgettable night. As evening falls, the air fills with enticing aromas, inviting guests to settle in and savor this refined interlude. Conversations gently flow, laughter mingles with the clinking of glasses, and the atmosphere becomes both festive and intimate. Families draw closer, friends reconnect, and everyone shares a suspended moment around an awaiting feast.

Wedding Day

In the serene hills of Mussoorie, we come together to celebrate our union through a sacred South Indian Tamil wedding ceremony. Rooted in ancient traditions, the ceremony is centered around meaningful rituals, Vedic chants, and family blessings, symbolizing the joining of two lives and two families. Our celebrations begin the day before with joyful Haldi and a vibrant Sangeet, moments filled with color, music, and laughter. On the wedding day, guests will witness rituals such as the exchange of garlands, the tying of the thaali (sacred wedding necklace), and blessings offered by elders each symbolizing love, commitment, and prosperity. Joined by family and friends traveling from across the world, these days are a time of reunion, shared traditions, and heartfelt celebration, as we honor our roots and begin our journey together, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
